The most important thing a real estate agent can use on Facebook is the Notes feature.
It is used similar to a blog and you can post your listings with your photo of choice and your personal description. (Take a peek at the video and article below)
Now, I know there are many others applications you can use for the listing feature on your Facebook business page. They also will do the work for you, all you have to do is add your MLS number and they will update it for you.
There are also a number of other applications available for a free or for a fee. The notes feature on facebook offers 2 perks – FREE and SEO results.
Using the notes feature in Facebook will take a few more minutes of your time. BUT….SO worth it! This one has a major benefit. Google crawls and indexes your notes. What does this mean to you as a real estate agent trying to get your listings out there?
It is very important to utilize the note feature in Facebook.
- Add your articles
- Updates
- Your house listings
- Testimonials
What is a note? Notes are just like your blog. You can add new, update and even subscribe to the RSS feed. It even updates your Facebook Notes page and places it in your newsfeed. If you have a unique heading (title) and article content Google will crawl your content and place you accordingly.
Not only are you updating your Facebook fans you are also attracting and informing potential real estate prospects who search on the internet. This means more traffic to your blog and your listings.
Your Facebook business page can do 2 things for you for free Exposure and Reputation.
Your fans can interact directly with you and each other. They can also comment “live” to what you are saying or offering. This is why it is so important to connect and respond to every response you receive. Good or bad! If you have your privacy settings to “everyone” seeing your content, then even Google can crawl your page. That means….it is out on the internet.
Whenever you write a note always link back to your blog. You attracted them to your Note, they need to be told what to do next….
- RSS feed link to your blog
- Signup for a free item
- Signup for your newsletter
===> If used effectively the Facebook Notes can drive traffic to your blog with little effort.
